By Subhash Yadav: In a bizarre yet fortunate turn of events, a cat survived after falling from the sixth floor of a building in Bangkok, Thailand. Yes, you read that right. The feline crashed into a car’s rear window that was parked below, according to Metro.

Pictures of the damaged car and the cat were shared on Facebook by a user named Apiwat Toyothaka. The tomcat named Shifu weighed 8.5 kgs according to Toyothaka. “At 7 am, Niti called to inform that there was a cat in the car. I’m confused. Why did it fall into the car? They said the cat weighed 8.5 kg. It fell from the 6th floor and broke the back glass,” read the caption of the post loosely translated in English.

Shifu was actually walking along its owner’s balcony when it fell from the sixth floor of a building on May 27. The cat was immediately rushed to the vet for scanning. It suffered a few bruises, a swollen nose and some broken claws.

Apiwat Toyothaka also gave an update on Shifu’s health and shared some images of the cat’s scans on Facebook.

“The cat has now been relocated away from the owner’s residence. So please don’t say anything negative about her. It’s hard to care for cats and everything happened by accident. The cat owner has learned her lesson and is trying to help her pet lose weight,” Monruthai Klinsuk, the co-owner of the car told a local media outlet.
